The Branded Apparel Process

Step 1: Goals & Strategy

Branded apparel is a strong element in an overall marketing strategy and will be successful if your goals align with the needs of your audience. Your strategy will help you decide on the production techniques, quantities, distribution, and design of your products.

Take a few moments to consider the following questions in the development of your goals:

  • Who is your audience?
  • What is your message?
  • Is your graphic or messaging ready to go? Do you need to create something? Do you need a designer to help you?
  • How will branded apparel help get your message across to your audience?
  • How will the apparel be distributed?
  • What is your budget?

Step 2: Techniques & Materials

Once your strategy is in place, the GCA team will provide you with branded apparel options that fit your budget, goals and schedule. We will also send you samples of our products to help ensure you select the right styles and sizes for your audience.

Production Techniques. Selecting your print style can be a hard decision, but our team will help you choose the right technique to meet your needs. Here are just some of our printing options:

  • Silkscreen
  • Embroidery
  • Leatherwork
  • Woven labels
  • Patches

Quantities. Figuring out the right quantity and size range of garments for your order can be challenging, but we are here to help. For example, the size curve for a typical t-shirt order would look something like this:

  • Small – 15%
  • Medium – 30%
  • Large – 30%
  • X-Large – 15%
  • 2X-Large – 10%

Step 3: Local Production

Once we have sourced your apparel, we match up your project with the best local printer, embroiderer, leatherworker, etc. to suit your needs, budget and schedule.

Art Check. At this stage, we also check your artwork to ensure it is suitable for print. If adjustments are needed, we can make them for a small fee or connect you with our network of local print designers to make updates, as necessary.

Step 4: Delivery & Follow Up

On Time. As long as we are clear on scheduling up front, we will deliver on time, every time.

Delivered with Care. Whenever possible, we hand-deliver your garments to you. If this is not a possibility, we will ship your order directly to you.

Follow-up: We care about our work and the success of your branded apparel, and will take the time to follow up after delivery to ensure you are satisfied with the final product.
